What is a VOD playlist?

A VOD (Video on demand) playlist is a collection of videos group together in a single player that you can share and embed on your website. Embedded playlists can be viewed on both mobile devices and desktops.

How to create a VOD playlist?

Creating a VOD playlist

1. Create or select a folder from your Video Hosting library

Before you create a playlist you'll need a folder of videos to populate the playlist from.

Go to Video Hosting from the main menu on the left hand side, then select a folder (either a normal VOD folder or Live-to-VOD folder) from which you want to create the playlist.

You can also create a new folder by clicking on the "New Folder" button.

From there, you can add some videos to that folder by clicking on the "New Video" button.

Please keep in mind that you will need at least one video in the folder in order to create a playlist.

2. Share your playlist

Your playlist is now ready to be shared after videos have been added to the VOD folder.

Click on the Share Playlist button to get the playlist URL or the iFrame snippet to embed the playlist on your website.

Here is an example of the playlist:

Managing videos in a playlist

Videos will play in the order in which they are placed in a folder. If you want to customize the order of your videos, simply remove them from the folder and add them back one by one according to your preferred order.

You can also add or remove videos in the playlist by directly adding/removing videos from your folder. Similarly, any changes made to your videos in the folder will be immediately reflected in your playlist.

There is no need to update your embed URL after making adjustments to the videos.
